How should we perform water baptism? Should we say father, son and holy spirit or in Jesus name?

Some people believe that when a person is water baptized saying the father, son and holy spirit, that it implies the name of Jesus, and therefore that person is technically baptized in Jesus name.

Is that indeed the truth?

• Is baptizing someone in father, son and hoy spirit the same thing as saying Jesus?
• Was anyone in the bible baptized in father, son and holy ghost?
• Was the Apostle Paul baptized in Jesus name or father, son and holy ghost?
• Were the Gentiles, Jews, and Samaritans baptized in Jesus name or in father, son and holy ghost?
• If you were baptized in father, son, and holy spirit – do you need to be re-baptized in Jesus name?
• What does the Greek word “onoma” (name) in Matthew 28:19 and Acts 2:38 mean and why is it important?
• Are we supposed to baptize in Jesus name or father, son and holy spirit?
• Is saying father, son and holy spirit REPEATING a command or FULFILLING it?

I want to look at and analyze all these questions and more, and by the time we’re done, you’re going to know whether you should baptize someone in father, son and holy ghost or in JESUS NAME!
