HOLY SPIRIT INFILLING VS THE GIFT OF TONGUES – What is the infilling of the Spirit
I see such confusion among the body of Christ (even Pentecostals) over the issue of tongues, and whether speaking in tongues when you receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the same thing as the gift of tongues that the Apostle Paul speaks about in 1 Cor 12 and 1 Cor 14.
I’ve heard people say things like:
“You’re not supposed to speak in tongues in church, because it’s better to say 5 words in a known tongue than to speak in tongues.”
“If no one is there to interpret the tongue, then everyone needs to quit talking in tongues and sit down.”
“Tongues were only for sharing and preaching the gospel and died out with the Apostles.”
“All the people in the bible talking in tongues were speaking in languages for other people to understand the gospel.”
I could go on and on; however, I’m sure you’re probably have many you could add to the list as well. There have been many
If you would like to help put an end to the countless statements of confusion, disagreement, misinterpretation, arguments, heated-discussions, questions, etc. –
Then I’ve got great news. In this video, I’m going to do my best to look at the difference between speaking in tongues with the infilling of the Gift (Dorea G1431) and the Holy Spirit, and the Gift of tongues (Charisma G5486) found in 1 Cor 12, and 1 Cor 14.
I also have more videos in the works about “3 types of tongues” and “when do you receive the Holy Spirt?” etc.
Also, I didn’t put background music in it since I know some people are using them for teaching/class material. If you want background music for these, you can turn on your own selection. I’ll get back into the background music on my other videos.
God bless,
See ya in the video.
Thanks
