Encounter With God by Murrell Ewing
You'll hearing Murrell singing and preaching. Murrell L. Ewing began his ministry at age 17 while in high school, and became a full-time evangelist upon graduation. At age 19, he became Rev. Earl Gamblin’s assistant pastor in Jackson, MS. The following year he moved to Alexandria, LA to assume the position of assistant pastor to Rev. G. A. Mangun.
In 1965, he left Alexandria to return to the evangelistic field, and remained there until 1966, when his father, Rev. T. E. Ewing, Pastor of Eastwood Pentecostal Church, suffered a stroke necessitating his return to Lake Charles, LA. He completed the building project begun by his father, and assumed the role of pastor, continuing in that role at present. The anointing on his life has also carried him to many foreign fields ministering to people of all nations.
At the Louisiana District level, he has served on the District Board as Presbyter, as well as Youth Secretary, Youth President, and District Youth Camp Principal. He currently serves on the LA District Music Committee. He has preached for several District Camp meetings as well as General Conferences.
He is a very talented musician and recording artist. While in high school, he played in the Lake Charles Symphony. Through the years, he has recorded many singing projects, and his anointed talent has blessed people throughout the world. He was married to Joan Clark Ewing for over 50 years, they had two children, Landy Ewing and Vonnie Lopez, and four grandchildren.
