God said, “Be Ye Holy for I am Holy.” He is the Holy Spirit. The Holy one of Israel. The Scriptures advise us to be imitators of Him in all things. The Scriptures say these things. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
