WHAT IS THE EKKLESIA – Who is the church according to the Bible?
In this video, I want to look at the Greek word "Ekklesia" to see if it’s properly interpreted as “church”.and how does it tie into the Rapture, the bride of Christ, salvation, and the tribulation?
Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 – “I will BUILD my church (Ekklesia).” Notice that’s future-tense, “I WILL…”. That means at the time he said that – it was NOT built yet.
However, when you go forward to Acts 2:47, it says that God added to the “church (Ekklesia) daily such as should be SAVED.”
That means the Ekklesia that Jesus said he WOULD build - had been established and those who were SAVED were being put in this Ekklesia daily.
In this video, we will cover the Greek word Ekklesia, often translated in the KJV bible as the “church”.

I will also provide some brief comments addressing “saints” and the “elect” in relation to the Ekklesia.
